The Bridge School has two appointed team members (Jade and Josie) who have completed ELSA training.
The role of our ELSAs is to support children on a 1:1 or group basis and focus on their specific individual social and emotional needs. Supporting these children allows them to understand and regulate their emotions and work towards dealing with their anxieties. We cover a broad spectrum of needs including family separation, bereavement, SEN needs, bullying, self-esteem issues and anger management. By working with children in this way we have found that they are more able to focus on their academic work whilst communicating their feelings in a positive and controlled manner.
ELSA offers a holistic approach and is invaluable at tackling the wider needs of the children in order to control their emotional health and well-being.
