Key Stage 3
View KS3 Humanities Curriculum Journey
Key Stage Three at The Bridge School provides a nurturing, structured and aspirational learning environment for pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9. The provision consists of two small classes, each supported by highly skilled and experienced teaching assistants who work closely with class teachers to provide consistent, high-quality support.
Pupils access a broad and balanced curriculum including English, Guided Reading, Mathematics, PSHE, Humanities, Science, Food Technology, Art and Outdoor Education. All lessons are carefully planned and personalised to meet the individual needs of each learner, ensuring they are able to make meaningful progress both academically and in their social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) development.
Our approach focuses on building confidence, resilience and positive relationships, with the long-term aim of supporting many pupils to successfully transition back into mainstream education when they are ready.
