DfE online educational resources links:-

The government have brought together an initial list of online educational resources to help children to learn at home.

These websites have been identified by some of the country’s leading educational experts and offer a wide range of support and resources for pupils of all ages.

The list includes subject-specific resources for:

They are currently being offered for free.

Individual resources cannot replace a school’s properly planned curriculum, and the resources in this list are not intended to do so.

They may be useful for parents in considering how they could support their children’s education, but they should not be used in place of existing resources which schools may be using as part of their continued provision for pupils’ education at this time.

To support learning, the following websites can also be accessed online:-

ALL SUBJECTS KS3 and KS4:-

Reading Plus

The Bridge School uses Reading Plus to help students become better readers. Reading Plus is a web-based program that helps students develop the skills they need to be confident readers and independent learners. Through regular Reading Plus practice, students will begin to read faster and with better understanding.

Students can complete Reading Plus assignments on a computer or tablet. Assignments in each program can be completed in any order, but SeeReader lessons are the most important. Weekly assignments reset every Sunday night at 11:59 pm, so students can work on completing assignments over the weekend.

Students can access Reading Plus by visiting www.readingplus.com

Click on Secondary / England GCSE / Biology (Single Science) / AQA / Go to Biology (Single Science) – AQA

Year 11 should revise all topics but also they have not yet covered the topic on Ecology, so also pay attention to that.

Year 10 should revise Cell biology, Organisation, Infection and response (wider public might appreciate this topic right now), and start to look at Bioenergetics

There is also a BBC Bitesize app for iPhone and Android which is really good.
